SiC Power Module Shipment Ranking H1
The competitive landscape of the SiC power module market saw a major shift in the first half of 2026. According to the latest shipment statistics, Chinese supplier UNT claimed the No.1 spot with 311,000 units shipped and a 16.9% market share, becoming the half-year champion. Veteran foreign player STMicroelectronics ranked second with 239,000 units and a 13.0% share, but the gap to the leader is now significant. BYD Semiconductor (229,000 units, 12.5%) and Jingnengwei (222,000 units, 12.1%) followed closely in third and fourth place, trailing the runner-up by less than one percentage point—a sign that the race at the top is heating up.
In the second tier, SKS ranked fifth with 129,000 units (7.0%), followed by United Automotive Electronics (UAES) in sixth with 110,000 units (6.0%). CRRC Semiconductor (55,000 units, 3.0%), Silan Microelectronics (49,000 units, 2.7%), and Zhenqu Tech (43,000 units, 2.3%) took positions seven through nine. The only other foreign firm in the ranking, ON Semiconductor, barely made the top ten with just 42,000 units shipped and a 2.3% share—clear evidence that the once-dominant international players are losing momentum in the Chinese market.
Notably, eight of the top ten suppliers are domestic players, collectively holding over 60% of the market, while the two foreign vendors saw their combined share fall to under 16%. Industry analysts point out that with China's silicon carbide supply chain maturing across substrate, epitaxy, and module packaging, coupled with the large-scale adoption of domestic modules in EV traction inverters, the localization of SiC power modules is clearly accelerating. In the coming quarters, the battle for share among leading Chinese suppliers—and whether foreign players can hold on to their remaining positions—will be the key storyline to watch.
